University of Alabama defeases 2004-A, 2006-A general revenue bonds

Norfolk, Va., Sept. 2 – The University of Alabama board of trustees defeased $83.23 million of its series 2004-A and $25,055,000 of its 2006-A general revenue bonds, according to two Rule 15c2-12 filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The 2004-A bonds are due July 1, 2015 through 2026, 2029 and 2034. They will be redeemed on Sept. 29.

The 2006-A bonds are due July 1, 2023, 2028, 2032 and 2036. They will be redeemed on July 1, 2016.

Regions Bank is the escrow trustee.
