Freescale Semiconductor calls $100 million of 8.05% notes due 2020

Norfolk, Va., Aug. 29 – Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. plans to redeem $100 million of its 8.05% senior unsecured notes due 2020, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Sept. 29. They will be redeemed in amounts of $2,000 or multiples of $1,000, with a minimum amount of $2,000.
The redemption will be funded with cash on hand.
Freescale is an Austin, Texas-based semiconductor and microelectronics company.
