Nuveen Massachusetts Premium Income Municipal to redeem preferreds

Norfolk, Va., June 10 – The Nuveen Massachusetts Premium Income Municipal Fund plans to redeem some of its MuniFund term preferred shares, according to a Rule 23c-2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The following will be redeemed on July 11 at a liquidation preference of $10 per share:
• 2,021,000 shares of 2.65% series 2015 preferred stock for a total of $20.21 million;
• 1,643,500 shares of 2.75% series 2016 preferred stock for a total of $16,435,000;
• 1,472,500 shares of 2.6% series 2015 preferred stock for a total of $14,725,000; and
• 2,207,500 shares of 2.65% series 2015 #1 preferred stock for a total of $22,075,000.
