Banco ABC Brasil partially redeems 8½% notes due 2016

Norfolk, Va., April 4 - Banco ABC Brasil SA has repurchased a portion of its R$250 million of 8½% notes due 2016, according to a filing with the London Stock Exchange.

Following the repurchase, the company holds about 15% of the notes.

The notes were issued under the company's $3 billion global medium-term note program.

Banco ABC Brasil is a lender based in Sao Paulo.
