ALLY FINANCIAL INC.: U.S. Treasury Department is offering tangible equity units of Ally; concurrent initial public offering of common stock; Ally will not receive proceeds from the sale; timing, talk and deal sizes weren't yet available; bookrunners Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Barclays and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.; shares to be listed on the NYSE under symbol "ALLY"; bank holding company focused on auto financing based in Detroit.

EMULEX CORP. (NYSE: ELX): $125 million five-year convertible senior notes; $18.75 million greenshoe; private offering via Goldman Sachs & Co.; proceeds for general corporate purposes, including repurchase of common stock; Costa Mesa, Calif.-based company focused on network connectivity, monitoring and management for global networks that support enterprise, cloud, government and telecommunications.

International Convertibles

CAIXABANK SA: €620 million of 4.5% to 5% three-year bonds exchangeable for shares of REPSOL SA; company has begun accelerated bookbuilding process directed to qualified and institutional investors through Citigroup Global Markets Ltd. and Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc as joint bookrunners; exchangeable for ordinary shares of Repsol representing up to a maximum amount of 2.5% of its share capital; settlement slated for Nov. 22; CaixaBank is a financial services company based in Barcelona.
