Nashville, Davidson County, Tenn., defeases $187.42 million G.O. bonds

Minneapolis, Feb. 7 - The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tenn., defeased $187,415,000 of general obligation bonds, according to separate releases.
The government will redeem the following bonds at par plus accrued interest:
• $1,055,000 of 4.125% 2005B bonds due Jan. 1, 2020. Following the transaction, $1,355,000 of the bonds will remain outstanding;
• $14.81 million of 5% 2005C bonds due Feb. 1, 2024;
• $15.55 million of 5% 2005C bonds due Feb. 1, 2025;
• $12.71 million of 5% 2006B bonds due Aug. 1, 2022;
• $13,365,000 of 5% 2006B bonds due Aug. 1, 2023;
• $14.05 million of 5% 2006B bonds due Aug. 1, 2024;
• $2,225,000 of 5% 2007A bonds due May 15, 2020. Following the transaction, $13 million of the bonds will remain outstanding;
• $2.11 million of 5% 2007A bonds due May 15, 2021. Following the transaction, $12.13 million of the bonds will remain outstanding;
• $2.21 million of 5% 2007A bonds due May 15, 2022. Following the transaction, $12.73 million of the bonds will remain outstanding;
• $2.32 million of 5% 2007A bonds due May 15, 2023. Following the transaction, $13.34 million of the bonds will remain outstanding;
• $2,435,000 of 5% 2007A bonds due May 15, 2024. Following the transaction, $13,995,000 of the bonds will remain outstanding;
• $28 million of 5% 2008 bonds due Jan. 1, 2020;
• $24.29 million of 5% 2008 bonds due Jan. 1, 2021;
• $25,505,000 of 5% 2008 bonds due Jan. 1, 2022; and
• $26.78 million of 5% 2008 bonds due Jan. 1, 2023.
The defeased 2005B bonds will be redeemed on Jan. 1, 2015, the defeased 2005C bonds will be redeemed on Feb. 1, 2015, the defeased 2006B bonds will be redeemed on Aug. 1, 2016, the defeased 2007A bonds will be redeemed on May 15, 2017, and the defeased 2008 bonds will be redeemed on Jan. 1, 2018.
