Standard Chartered buys back portions of upper tier 2 floaters

Madison, Wis., Oct. 31 - Standard Chartered plc announced it repurchased portions of its upper tier 2 securities.
The company bought back
• $12.88 million of its $400 million undated primary capital floating-rate notes, with $56.55 million principal amount outstanding;
• $1.02 million of its $300 million undated primary capital floating-rate notes, series 2, with $81.18 million principal amount outstanding;
• $18.64 million of its $400 million undated primary capital floating-rate notes, series 3, with $83.1 million principal amount outstanding; and
• $1.09 million of its $200 million undated primary capital floating-rate notes, series 4, with $50.78 million principal amount outstanding.
The bank and financial services company is based in London.
