Alcoa plans redemption of $330.06 million of 6.5% notes due 2011

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 26 - Alcoa Inc. said it will redeem all $330.06 million of its 6.5% notes due June 1, 2011 at par plus interest to Sept. 27, the redemption date.

The Bank of New York Mellon (800 254-2826) is the trustee. Deutsche Bank Luxembourg SA (00352-421-22-639) is the paying agent.

Alcoa is a Pittsburgh-based producer of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum and alumina.
