Standard Bank of South Africa buys back $77 million floaters

Chicago, Jan. 27 - Standard Bank of South Africa said it repurchased and cancelled $77 million nominal amount of its $500 million floating-rate notes due 2012.
As a result, $423 million of the notes is outstanding.
Standard Bank of South Africa is a Johannesburg-based commercial and investment bank.
