EMI to redeem £325 million of 8¼% bonds

Chicago, Aug. 17 - EMI Group plc said it plans to redeem its £250 million of 8¼% bonds due 2008 and its £75 million of 8¼% bonds due 2008.

On Sept. 11, the company will pay the higher of par and the redemption yield set on the calculation date of Sept. 7, two business days before the redemption date.

HSBC Bank plc is the agent.

EMI is a London-based recording company.
