GS Finance plans digital notes tied to iShares MSCI Emerging Markets

Olympia, Wash., June 18 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% digital notes due in 24 to 27 months linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the fund return is positive, the payout at maturity will be the greater of the maximum settlement amount of $1,168.40 to $1,198.10 per $1,000 principal amount and par plus the fund return.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline in the fund from its initial level.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.

The Cusip number is 40055QG48.
