Janney hires Foard and Kozlik to focus on municipal finance

Knoxville, Tenn., July 24 - Janney Montgomery Scott LLC announced in a press release that it has hired Dale Foard as first vice president and manager of municipal institutional sales, trading and underwriting and Tom Kozlik as vice president of public finance.

Foard joins Janney from Morgan Keegan and will work out of Janney's Philadelphia corporate headquarters. With more than 20 years of financial service industry experience, Foard will concentrate on municipal finance, trading and risk management.

Kozlik joins Janney from Bear Stearns and also will work out of Janney's corporate headquarters. Hired as a generalist banker, Kozlik will focus on state, large city and large county municipal finance business, expanding Janney's presence in the tax-exempt water, sewer, wastewater and related utility areas.

"Over the past year, we have continued to build and strengthen Janney's Capital Markets unit as part of our overall strategic plan for the future growth of the firm," Janney president and chief executive officer Timothy C. Scheve said in the release. "The hiring of these individuals represents our ongoing commitment to increasing Janney's presence in this sector, as well as our strategic direction as our industry and our clients' needs continue to evolve."

Philadelphia-based Janney provides financial advice and service to individual, corporate and institutional investors.
