Garman Research acquires publication Leverage World

New York, May 13 - Garman Research, LLC announced that it acquired Leverage World, a high-yield bond research publication, from FridsonVision LLC.

The company, an independent research firm, said that its chief executive officer, M. Christopher Garman, will become editor and publisher of the weekly letter.

Garman has been ranked eight times in the Institutional Investor fixed-income research poll in Europe and the United States and was formerly managing director and head of global high-yield strategy for Merrill Lynch in New York, according to a company news release.

"Leverage World is the premier independent high-yield strategy publication. The recent credit crisis has underscored the importance of access to insightful research analysis," Garman said.

"We look forward to continuing Leverage World's tradition of in-depth credit market research, while bringing forward innovative new cross-asset allocation and capital structure trading strategies."

Martin Fridson, the founder of the publication who will remain a regular contributor, said, "Garman Research, led by Chris Garman, is a natural fit for Leverage World. Chris's research is well known in the high-yield marketplace, and I am confident that Leverage World will thrive under his leadership."
