Moody's: General Motors Financial positive

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the ratings of General Motors Financial Co., Inc. and changed the outlook to positive from stable.

Moody's said the action follows General Motors Financial's announcement that it plans to acquire the international auto finance operations of Ally Financial Inc.

The change in outlook reflects the credit benefits of the acquisition, including stronger asset quality and increased ties to General Motors, the agency said.
