Fulbright & Jaworski adds Marcus Deitz to public finance team

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, April 12 - Fulbright & Jaworski LLP has hired Marcus W. Deitz as partner for its Houston-based public finance team, according to a press release.

Deitz joins the firm from Adrews Kurth LLP, where he spent a decade serving as underwriters, bond and disclosure counsel in debt issuances for local governments and representing purchasers of municipal bonds. Along with his broad experience in public finance transactions, Deitz also has handled election law matters, general school district representation and state law compliance issues.

"Marcus has a solid reputation for his performance handling a myriad of public finance issues for a variety of clients," Fulbright's head of public finance Bob Dransfield said in the release. "He is a great addition to our public finance team as we continue to meet the growing needs of our clients."

Deitz earned his undergraduate degree in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the University of Denver.

Fulbright & Jaworski is a Houston-based law firm.
