Fulbright & Jaworski names Binford and Kortmeyer as new partners

San Diego, Feb. 8 - Fulbright & Jaworski LLP announced in a press release that it has promoted Clayton Scott Binford and Scott Kortmeyer to the firm's partnership from core practice areas.

Within the corporate area, Binford handles public finance matters and has acted as bond, bank and underwriter's counsel in tax and revenue-supported governmental financings. He represents cities, counties and school districts and has advised on governmental project finance and derivative transactions.

Kortmeyer focuses on public finance with an emphasis on tax-exempt and taxable financings for nonprofit health care entities. He has served as bond counsel, borrower's counsel, credit enhancer's counsel and underwriter's counsel for general obligation and revenue financings involving hospitals, retirement centers and nursing facilities.

Binford received his JD from St. Mary's University School of Law and his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University.

Kortmeyer received his JD from Arizona State University's College of Law and his bachelor's degree in pre-med biology from Arizona State University.

Binford and Kortmeyer are two of 16 new partners.
