Taiwan’s Fubon Life readies cumulative subordinated bond offering

Chicago, June 7 – Fubon Financial Holding Co. announced that subsidiary Fubon Life Insurance Co., Ltd. is readying the sale of a cumulative subordinated corporate bond offering with at least a 10-year tenor, according to a notice.

The total amount issued will be capped at NT$25 billion, and the bonds may be issued within the next two years, either all at once or in stages.

The bonds need to be issued without a discount, based on a board of directors resolution.

Proceeds will be used to strengthen working capital and the company’s financial structure and to increase the RBC ratio.

Fubon is a financial services company based in Taipei, Taiwan.
