Moody's affirms Allstate

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed with stable outlook the Aa2 insurance financial strength rating of Allstate Insurance Co. and the Prime-1 short-term rating for commercial paper of Allstate Corp.

At the same time, Moody's said it has placed under review for possible downgrade the Aa2 IFS ratings of Allstate Life Insurance Co. and its subsidiaries, the Aa2 funding agreement-backed notes of Allstate Life and the debt ratings (senior debt at A1) of Allstate Insurance.

Finally, the agency said that the Prime-1 short-term IFS ratings of Allstate Life and certain affiliates were affirmed with a stable outlook.
