New Issue: HSBC prices $12.94 million accelerated return equity securities on index basket

Olympia, Wash., March 31 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $12.94 million of 0% accelerated return equity securities due May 28, 2021 linked to a basket of the Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 40% weight, the FTSE 100 index and Nikkei Stock Average index with a 20% weight each, the Swiss Market index and S&P/ASX 200 index with a 7.5% weight each and the Hang Seng index with a 5% weight, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the basket return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 3 times the return of the basket, capped at par plus 18.65%.

Investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the basket declines.
