S&P puts Freedom Communications on watch

Standard & Poor's said it placed its ratings on Freedom Communications Inc., including the BB corporate credit rating, on CreditWatch with negative implications, reflecting the company's weak operating performance for the three months ended June 30 and the prospects for a continued weak revenue climate.

The agency said it will review its ratings on Freedom after evaluating the company's future operating and financial strategies.
