Moody's assigns Aa2 to Frederick County G.O. bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa2 rating to Frederick County, Md.'s $79.38 million 2008 general obligation public facilities bonds. The outlook is positive.

The expected sale date is June 23.

Proceeds will finance capital improvements, including public education facilities, water and sewer infrastructure and general government projects.

Moody's affirmed its Aa2 rating on the county's $426.8 million in previously issued parity bonds outstanding.
