New Issue: Freddie Mac sells $1 billion 2.25% callable three-year notes at par

Chicago, Aug. 4 - Freddie Mac priced $1 billion of 2.25% global medium-term notes due Aug. 24, 2012 at par on Monday.
Interest is payable semiannually.
The underwriters were J.P. Morgan Securities Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co., Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
The notes are callable beginning Aug. 24, 2010.
The issue will settle on Aug. 24.
