Bulldog Investors reduces ownership of Franklin Universal to 3.25%

Charlotte, N.C., April 21 - A group of Franklin Universal Trust investors led by Bulldog Investors General Partnership and Phillip Goldstein sold 677,216 shares between Feb. 20 and April 20 priced from $3.35 to $4.03, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors beneficially own 816,030 shares, or 3.25%, of the San Mateo, Calif.-based closed-end investment company managed by Franklin Advisers Inc.
