Templeton adds to portfolio management teams of four funds

San Diego, Nov. 1 - Franklin Templeton Investments announced portfolio management changes to four of its funds in separate 497 filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The funds - the Templeton Institutional Funds Emerging Market Series, the Templeton Developing Markets Trust, the Templeton Frontier Markets Fund and the Templeton China World Fund - are all managed by San Mateo, Calif.-based Templeton Asset Management Ltd. The lead portfolio manager for all of the funds since their inception is Mark Mobius, the executive chairman of the Templeton Emerging Markets Group.

Allan Lam, a portfolio manager of Asset Management, has joined the portfolio management team of all four funds, effective November 2011.

Along with Lam, Dennis Lim and Tom Wu have joined the portfolio management team of the Templeton Frontier Markets Fund, effective November 2011. Lim is the co-chief executive officer and director of Asset Management. Wu is director of Asset Management. Research analysts Johan Meyer and Claus Born assist the portfolio management team, according to the filings.

In addition, Lam, Lim and Wu have all joined the portfolio management team of the Templeton China World Fund, joining existing team member Eddie Chow, an investment analyst of Asset Management and a portfolio manager of the fund since 2002.
