Franklin Tax-Exempt Money Fund plans July 2 termination, liquidation

San Luis Obispo, Calif., May 29 - The board of trustees of the Franklin Tax-Exempt Money Fund approved on May 21 the termination and liquidation of the fund, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The liquidation will occur on or about July 2. Shareholders may, as an alternative, exchange their fund shares for shares of other Franklin Templeton funds prior to the liquidation date.

San Mateo, Calif.-based Franklin Advisers, Inc. is the investment adviser to the fund.
