Franklin Square adds Robert Hoffman to portfolio management team

Kansas City, Kan., Jan. 30 - Franklin Square Capital Partners announced that Robert Hoffman will be joining its portfolio management team as a product specialist.

The team monitors the company's non-traded business development company product line, and Hoffman is expected to enhance the team's efforts with his experience in corporate credit, according to a news release.

Hoffman was previously an executive director at Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management, Inc. He and his team managed and traded loan portfolios for retail and institutional clients. Hoffman has also worked as a senior credit analyst in first- and second-lien corporate loans.

"Mr. Hoffman is an experienced, well-regarded portfolio manager in the bank loan space," Franklin Square chief executive officer Michael Forman said in a news release. "Robert brings an unparalleled level of in-depth, buyside experience in the leveraged finance market, which is an integral part of our product strategy."

Hoffman is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in political science.

Philadelphia-based Franklin Square is a provider of alternative investment products.
