Franklin Capital closes $3.245 million private placement of shares, warrants

Atlanta, Nov. 5 - Franklin Capital Corp. announced late Thursday that it has raised $3.245 million in a private placement.

The deal consists of shares and warrants, but additional information will be released at a later time, according to the company.

The proceeds from the deal will be used to restructure the company and expedite its entry into the medical and health care products industry and the financial services industry.

Santa Monica, Calif.-based Franklin Capital is a financial services company.

The company's stock closed up $0.20 at $11 Friday.
