Allianz to launch Allianz NFJ International Small-Cap Value Fund

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, March 9 - Allianz Funds Multi-Strategy Trust announced in an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission its plans to launch the Allianz NFJ International Small-Cap Value Fund.

The fund will launch with institutional class, class P and class D shares.

The fund will seek long-term capital appreciation by investing, under normal conditions, at least 80% of its net assets, plus borrowings made for investment purposes, in common stocks and other equity securities with smaller market capitalizations, which it defines as companies with market caps of between $500 million and $5 billion.

The fund plans to invest at least 65% of its net assets in equity securities of non-U.S. companies and may invest up to 20% of its assets in emerging market securities.

L. Baxter Hines, Benno J. Fischer, Paul A. Magnuson and Morley D. Campbell of NFJ Investment Group LLC, the fund's subadviser, will be the portfolio managers.

There will be no shareholder fees. Management fees and total operating expenses have not yet been disclosed.

New York-based Allianz Global Investors Fund Management LLC will be the investment adviser.
