Moody's assigns Fortis A1 issuer ratings

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a first-time A1 issuer rating to Fortis Group's main insurance operating entities in Belgium and the Netherlands, including Fortis Insurance Belgium and the main operating insurance entities of Fortis ASR Verzekeringen NV.

The outlook for all ratings is stable.

Moody's added that the A1 first-time issuer ratings reflect the overall financial strength of the group, which benefits from a strong diversified stream of cash flows as well as a strong combined liquidity and capital flexibility at holding company level.
