Barclays plans buffered Super Track notes linked to Asian indexes

By Angela McDaniels

Tacoma, Wash., Jan. 29 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% buffered Super Track notes due February 2018 linked to a basket of five Asian indexes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket includes equal weights of the Hang Seng China Enterprises index, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index 200, the Hang Seng index, the MSCI Taiwan Price index and the MSCI Singapore Free Price index.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.25 times to 1.35 times any basket gain. The exact upside leverage factor will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the basket falls by 20% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that the basket declines beyond 20%.

The notes are expected to price and settle in February.

Barclays is the agent.

The Cusip number is 06741TNF0.
