By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 3 - A group of Fisher Communications, Inc. shareholders led by Gamco Asset Management Inc. bought 92,300 shares of the company's stock between June 24 and July 31.

The shares were priced from $10.75 to $19.04 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

Between June 1 and June 22, Gamco bought 91,400 shares for a 22.26% stake, a prior SEC filing said.

As previously reported, Fisher agreed in March to nominate two people recommended by Gamco - David Lorber and Paul A. Bible - for election to its board of directors at the 2009 annual meeting.

In exchange, Gamco agreed to withdraw its slate of director nominees.

Gamco beneficially owns 2,040,195 shares, or 23.32%, of the Seattle-based television and radio station operator.
