Moody's assigns Aaa/VMIG1 to FirstEnergy Nuclear, Ohio, bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a rating of Aaa/VMIG1 to The Beaver County Industrial Development Authority pollution control revenue refunding bonds, series 2008A (FirstEnergy Nuclear Generation Co. Project).

Sale of $54.6 million of the bonds is expected on June 12.

The bonds are supported by a letter of credit from The Bank of Nova Scotia, rated Aa1 for long-term deposits and P-1 for short-term deposits. Moody's currently rates FirstEnergy Solutions Baa2.
