First Wind closes $237 million construction loan for Maine wind project

Charlotte, N.C., May 1 - First Wind Holdings Inc. announced the closing of a $237 million construction loan to help fund its 148 megawatt Oakfield Wind project in Aroostook County, Maine.

KeyBank NA acted as the joint lead arranger and administrative agent on the construction loan.

Total construction cost for the project is about $369 million, according to a company news release.

First Wind develops, finances, builds and operates utility-scale renewable energy projects throughout the United States. The company is based in Boston.
