AlphaDEX Fund II plans launch of four First Trust AlphaDEX funds

San Diego, Feb. 17 - First Trust Exchange-Traded AlphaDEX Fund II announced in an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it is planning to launch four new AlphaDEX funds that will trade on the NYSE Arca.

Each fund will seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield, before fees and expenses, of its corresponding underlying index, and each fund will normally invest at least 90% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in stocks and/or depositary receipts that comprise the index.

The underlying index for the First Trust Dividend AlphaDEX Fund is the Defined U.S. Dividend Index.

The underlying index for the First Trust Emerging Markets Dividend AlphaDEX Fund is the Defined Emerging Markets Dividend Index.

The underlying index for the First Trust International Dividend AlphaDEX Fund is the Defined International Dividend Index.

The underlying index for the First Trust Global Commodity AlphaDEX Fund is the StrataQuant Global Commodity Index.

First Trust Investment Advisors LP, the funds' Wheaton, Ill.-based investment adviser, will seek a correlation of 0.95 or better, before fees and expenses, between the funds' performance and that of its index, with a figure of 1.00 representing a perfect correlation.

The portfolio management team for the funds includes Daniel J. Lindquist, Robert F. Carey, Jon C. Erickson, David G. McGarel, Roger F. Testin and Stan Ueland.

The ticker symbols and fees and expenses of the funds have not yet been determined.
