New York, Feb. 23 - Alliance One International, Inc. said it amended its credit agreement to allow for the sale of $200 million of senior notes.

The changes also give the company up to 30 days from the receipt of proceeds from the note offering to make a mandatory prepayment of the credit facility, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Wachovia Bank, NA is administrative agent for the facility.

Alliance One is a Morrisville, N.C.-based leaf tobacco company.
