First Independence raises $270,000 through private placement of shares

Offering sells 168,750 company common shares at $1.60 per share

Knoxville, Tenn., May 9 - First Independence Corp. completed a $270,000 private placement of stock on May 3, according to an 8-K filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company sold 168,750 common shares at $1.60 per share. The price per share is a 79.75% discount to the $7.90 closing share price on May 2.

The savings and loan holding company is based in Independence, Kan.
