S&P changes Fiji view to negative

S&P said it revised the outlook for Fiji to negative from stable and affirmed the country’s BB- long-term sovereign credit rating.

“The negative outlook reflects uncertainty around the duration of the pandemic and its effect on Fiji's crucial tourism sector. We consider economic and fiscal risks to be tilted to the downside,” the agency said in a press release.
