Fidelity announces portfolio management changes to 14 index funds

San Diego, Oct. 21 - Fidelity Investments announced portfolio management changes to 14 of its index funds, according to 497 filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In October, James Francis of Geode Capital Management, LLC was added as senior portfolio manager to the Fidelity Nasdaq Composite Index Fund, the Fidelity Nasdaq Composite Index Tracking Stock and the Fidelity Series 100 Index Fund. Jeffrey Adams no longer serves as a portfolio manager of these funds.

Fidelity Management & Research Co. is the funds' manager. Geode and FMR Co., Inc. serve as sub-advisers for the funds.

In addition, in October Francis was added as a portfolio manager to the following funds:

• Fidelity International Enhanced Index Fund;

• Fidelity Large Cap Core Enhanced Index Fund;

• Fidelity Large Cap Growth Enhanced Index Fund;

• Fidelity Large Cap Value Enhanced Index Fund;

• Fidelity Mid Cap Enhanced Index Fund;

• Fidelity Small Cap Enhanced Index Fund;

• Spartan Emerging Markets Index Fund;

• Spartan Global ex U.S. Index Fund;

• Spartan Mid Cap Index Fund;

• Spartan Small Cap Index Fund; and

• Spartan Real Estate Index Fund.

Strategic Advisers, Inc., an affiliate of Fidelity Management & Research Co., is the funds' manager. Geode serves as a sub-adviser.

Francis has been a senior portfolio manager with Geode since September 2011 and also manages other registered investment companies. In addition to managing portfolios, Francis is responsible for quantitative research and new product development.

Prior to Geode, Francis was a director and portfolio manager at Deutsche Asset Management from 2008 to 2011, a senior portfolio manager at Northern Trust Global Investments from 2005 to 2007 and a portfolio manager at State Street Global Advisors from 1987 to 2005.
