Fidelity Government Income Fund details mortgage investment limits

San Diego, March 1 - The Fidelity Government Income Fund has provided more information about its investment strategy, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in U.S. government securities and repurchase agreements for those securities.

According to the filing, the fund does not currently intend to invest more than 60% of its assets in mortgage securities.

The fund's investment adviser is Boston-based Fidelity Management & Research Co.
