By Melissa Kory

Cleveland, Sept. 30 - Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corp. appointed Sara L. Faivre-Davis of Cameron, Texas, and Myles Watts of Bozeman, Mont., to the board of directors of Farmer Mac. Current member of Farmer Mac's board and acting chairman Lowell L. Junkins of Des Moines, Iowa, became chairman of the board.

Watts replaced Grace Trujillo Daniel, and Davis assumed a vacant seat. Davis will serve on the audit, marketing and public policy committees of Farmer Mac's board. Watts will serve on the finance, credit and public policy committees.

Farmer Mac, a stockholder-owned instrumentality of the United States, was chartered to establish a secondary market for agricultural real estate, rural housing mortgage loans and rural utilities loans and to facilitate funding for USDA-guaranteed farm program and rural development loans.
