Former Furniture Brands posts $18.79 million loss for Sept. 29-Oct. 26

Wilmington, Del., Dec. 2 - FBI Wind Down, Inc., formerly Furniture Brands International, posted a net loss of $18.79 million for the period of Sept. 29 through Oct. 26 on net sales of $62.25 million, according to the company's monthly operating report filed Dec. 2 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Those figures compare to a $30.73 million net loss on net sales of $72.67 million for the period from Aug. 25 through Sept. 28.

The company also reported cash and cash equivalents of $10.19 million as of Oct. 26, down from $34.88 million at the end of September.

Furniture Brands, a St. Louis-based designer, manufacturer and retailer of home furnishings, filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 9. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-12329.
