Fitch affirms Fannie, Freddie
Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the AAA long-term issuer default ratings, AAA senior debt ratings, AA- subordinated debt ratings and F1+ short-term debt ratings of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as well as their 1 support ratings and AAA support floors.
The outlook is stable.
The agency said the companies' ratings are indicative of strong U.S. government support.
