Thomas Putnam, Marc Roberts to manage new FAM Small Cap Fund

San Diego, March 1 - FAM Funds announced it has launched the FAM Small Cap Fund, according to a 497K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Its investor class shares trade under the ticker symbol "FAMFX."
The fund's investment objective is to maximize long-term return on capital. Under normal conditions, it will invest at least 80% of its net assets in securities of small-cap companies.
The fund will not impose shareholder fees. Management fees will run 1%, and total annual fund operating expenses will be limited to 1.5% until May 1, 2015 via a fee waiver agreement.
Thomas O. Putnam and Marc D. Robert will co-manage the fund.
The fund's inception date is March 1. Its performance will then be compared o the Russell 2000 index.
Cobleskill, N.Y.-based Fenimore Asset Management, Inc. serves as the fund's investment adviser.
