FairPoint Communications announces $25 million payment on loan debt

Kansas City, Kan., Sept. 4 - FairPoint Communications, Inc. has prepaid $25 million of debt under its term loan, according to a news release.

Following the voluntary payment, $970 million is outstanding on the loan.

The company said it made the payment with cash on hand.

FairPoint Communications provides communications services and is based in Charlotte, N.C.
