Fairchild seeks amendment to cut pricing, allow for note repayment

New York, Jan. 5 - Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. is looking to amend its senior credit facility to reduce pricing and get permission to repay its $350 million 10½% senior subordinated notes due 2009, which become callable in February 2005.

The amendment is expected to be completed this month.

Fairchild Semiconductor is a South Portland, Maine, supplier of high performance power products.
