New Issue: UBS sells $3.05 million trigger phoenix autocallables tied to Facebook

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 23 – UBS AG, London Branch priced $3.05 million of trigger phoenix autocallable notes due June 23, 2017 linked to Facebook, Inc. shares, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent quarterly coupon at an annual rate of 10.7% if Facebook stock closes at or above the coupon barrier price, 70% of the initial price, on the observation date for that quarter.

If the shares close at or above the initial price on any quarterly observation date, the notes will be called at par of $1,000 plus the contingent coupon.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the contingent coupon unless Facebook shares finish below the 70% trigger price, in which case investors will be exposed to any declines.
