Alleghany calls all $300 million 5.625% notes due 2020 for redemption

Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 12 – Alleghany Corp. will redeem all $300 million of its 5.625% senior notes due 2020 on Jan. 15, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be redeemed under the optional redemption provision at par plus accrued interest to but excluding the redemption date.

Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee and paying agent.

Alleghany is a New York City-based property and casualty insurer.
