Moody's rates Mexim notes A3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 rating to Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd.'s (Mexim) proposed Hong Kong-dollar denominated senior unsecured fixed-rate notes.

The outlook is stable.

The bank's long-term foreign-currency senior unsecured debt has an A3 rating.

The outlook is stable.

The notes represent direct, senior, unsubordinated and unsecured obligations of the bank. As such, they will rank pari passu with the bank's unsecured and unsubordinated obligations, Moody's said.

The ratings incorporate the low level of risk associated with the bank's standalone credit profile and the A3 rating for the government of Malaysia due to very high government support and dependence factors, the agency said.
