Export-Import Bank of Korea taps bookrunners for dollar green bonds

By Christine Van Dusen

Atlanta, Feb. 2 – The Export-Import Bank of Korea has mandated BofA Merrill Lynch and Credit Agricole CIB as the bookrunners for an offering of dollar-denominated green bonds, a market source said.

The proceeds from the Securities and Exchange Commission-registered offering will be used to fund projects that “promote the transition to low-carbon and climate resilient growth,” according to a company filing.

The projects could include those that foster renewable energy, reduce carbon emissions, promote energy efficiency and encourage environmentally friendly industries and technologies.
