Moody’s rates Export-Import Bank of China notes A1

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned an A1 rating to the planned euro-denominated fixed-rate five-year senior unsecured notes to be offered by the Export-Import Bank of China and dollar-denominated floating-rate three-year senior unsecured notes to be sold by the bank’s Paris Branch.

The securities will be direct, unconditional, unsubordinated and unsecured obligations of Chexim and will at all time rank equally among themselves.

“The A1 rating of Chexim’s senior unsecured debt is at the same level of the senior unsecured debt rating of the government of China. Very close links between Chexim’s credit profile and that of the government underpin its rating,” said Moody’s in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
